The Good Stuff.

From geeky to creaky. The progression of life.

From black Canon AE-1 with a normal lens to an Olympus EPL1 with a normal lens in 30 short years.  Progress?  Entropy?  Real life?

The important thing is to keep shooting and don't look back!  We are not spectators in our own lives.  It's how we take control that makes a difference.

  1. Oh man, you gotta grow that beard and hair out again.

  2. As soon as I saw the first photo I thought that Ben had grown a beard.

  3. If he grew out his beard now he'd look like Santa Claus. Or a hippie version of Santa Claus. I know, the same thing happens to me.

  4. I'm with Mark, you need to grow that beard back!

  5. The first image could be Ben with longer hair and a beard. The problem with growing a beard back now is that it doesn't grow in the same color. Sometimes it is good to look back to make sure you have actually gone somewhere and aren't stuck in the same place.

  6. I've also gotta cast a vote to bring the beard back!

  7. Looks like you moved up from a Timex to a Rolex in those 30 years?

  8. I'm wearing a Timex right now. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. But in the second photo I'm wearing a $70 Invicta knock-off of a Rolex Submariner. I bought an expensive watch once and it was the worst purchase I can think of. I like watches but I hold the budget to under $100 these days.

  9. I love your self deprecating approach to making us pay attention. This time you are making me pay attention to the cruel passage of time. You seem okay with it. You are better adjusted than me.
