  3. Kirk, do you have, or plan to have a Craftsy tutorial on making such candid portraits without studio lighting?
    That would be awfully kind of you, and probably quite popular. There is a very nice class by Neil van Niekerk on
    using on-camera flash but it is more focused on creating an acceptable light than on capturing the subject.

  4. Hi Lenya, I think Craftsy concentrates more on nuts and bolts and general interest classes rather than things that border on pure aesthetics or things that are highly subjective. I'll try to write a post about candids without studio light because there seems to be some mystery surrounding the genre. I find it to be a case, usually, of being in the right place in the right light with the right subject in front of me more than any conscious plan.
