This was taken at the minimum focusing distance for the lens and the aperture was f1.4. The depth of field is, of course, quite shallow but where the lens is in focus it's seems very sharp and detailed.

ReplyDeleteI guess if you wanted to do an exhaustive review of the lens, you’d need to shoot brick walls at every aperture and then compare it to a 1951 Air Force test chart or something.
But I’m glad you don’t do that. The sample images you post after every new lens acquisition at much more revealing than any test chart!
Thanks. I think the best material for reviewing a lens is the actual photographs you make with it.
