International Self Portrait with a Camera in the Frame Day.

Darn contrast detect AF. I was just trying to get that lens in focus...

Attempted photo with a (tentatively) Michael Johnston approved Sigma fp camera and a Panasonic 50mm f1.8 lens.

  1. Nice. Should we say manual focus?

Just got done with a 2 mile jog, now out to repair the barn roof, and work on the 1985 Benz before it goes to college in 3 weeks.

It's cool and cloudy here today, perfect working outdoor weather. I wonder if I could set up the fp to catch me rolling of the barn roof? Or getting stuck under the Benz? hahahaha, It's all good.

    Have an excellent day

  2. Ah, you're thinking of International Camera Portrait with Self in the Frame Day. I think that's tomorrow.

Here's mine, from the rebellious adolescent days of mirrorless.. maybe?

  3. Roger,

3200 yard swim. 3 mile walk with a friend. 50 push ups. Now getting down to the business of being a lazy, fine art photographer...

Biggest concern of the day: Which camera? Which lens?

Your swim was about 1.3/4 miles then a 3 mile walk with a friend, that's excellent, just excellent. I wish there was a pool close to me, but I'm not that lucky. I use to swim a lot, and surf, but not now I jog and maybe a bike ride if I feel lucky as a lot of the good old boys, you know the ones with the flags in the back of their truck? Well they like to get real close, and go real slow then hit the gas/diesel mostly and a big cloud of black, raw fuel comes out and you have to ride through it holding your breath, then if your real lucky you won't get hit when they throw you a beer, or at you is more like it. Where I live most (80%) of the people think exercise goes along with "fake" photography. It wasn't always this way, this just started about 5 years ago. Sad.

As for the cameras and lenses, I'm trying to cut back, I'm going through camera gear detox as we speak. HAHAHA LOL

    Have a great day
    Roger
