  2. I really like the shots of the scooters down! And the rain on the park bench. Is this lens and camera combo waterproof, or at least weather resistant?

  3. Hi Bob, the Sigma fp, when used with Leica and some Panasonic and Sigma lenses that are gasketed, is very weather and water resistant. I shot video in the rain with it as far back as two years ago with no ill effects. I can't vouch for the system's use with the TTartisan 50mm. It is not gasketed and they've never indicated any degree of water resistance.

Use the combo at your own risk. A front filter might be a big help. If I were going to use the combo all day in a steady rain I'd get a hood, use a filter and then wrap the camera/lens interface with a couple rounds of electrical tape to cover my bases.

I don't worry much about the lens as there is nothing electrical inside. The only worry is intrusion at the lens mount.

  5. One too many zeroes in that f-number.

  6. How do you differentiate between the color qualities of the camera sensor and the lens? It seems that you are attributing the rich color in the photos to the lens, but how about the camera?
