I posted a visual response. The TL:DR? It's more than sharp enough for me....
Voigtlander 50mm APO-Lanthar, handheld on a Leica M240, close in. The lens is one of my absolute favorites and was my most used lens on my recent photo adventure in Canada.
My final summation? I'd buy it again. And again.

sharpness is over-rated! this photo is more than sharp enough for me, get off my lawn your kr*zy sharpness nerds :-)
The result speaks for itself. A used Leica M body with less-expensive Voigtlander glass strikes me as a sane way to enjoy the traditional Leica rangefinder experience.
