I'm not tired of images from South Congress Avenue. No one is forcing the whiners to look at them.
Oh, man! I am so disappointed. I was so looking forward to MORE photos of South Congress Avenue. More! MORE!
Don’t get spray paint on your lens. Anything that will take it off will probably do other damage. Stripper that actually works is nasty stuff and if it isn’t nasty my experience (over 40 years of pro experience) it doesn’t work.

Well you could get a couple of mannequiens and drag them around Texas. Set them up in small towns, hiking, swimming etc. Blow the images up REALLY big, or postage stamp size and call it "art".
Or hang with your homies at the local coffeeshop while photographing pretty young things.
Personally I prefer beer and biker babies.

Not all of are tired of SCA images (more please). But these are cool too!
Very fine sandpaper???
Sure Don, can't wait to get stopped by the Texas DPS and having to explain why I have a set of hot babe mannequins in the backseat of the car.... :-)
Nikkor 43-86mm I've had one for many years- before anyone mentioned it was Nikon's worst lens I thought it worked fine. Go figure.
I wouldn’t take sandpaper to any lens I valued. The only think I can think of doing is take an old lens you absolutely don’t care about ruining. Hold it upside down and with a clean rag or paper towel try wiping it with mild solvents getting progressively stronger when one is not working. Keep it upside down so gravity will help keep your solvent from finding its way inside. Good luck it might work but it is just as likely to make a big mess.
