rough weekend for Central Texans. Some images to take my mind off the news.
West of Austin. In the middle of the Hill Country.
The torrential rain has slowed down. Finally. The Texas Hill Country is in tatters and many lives have been lost. Some rivers crested nearly 30 feet above normal. FEMA has been un-funded. Thousands will suffer for years to come. The response from one political party in Congress will no doubt be
"Thoughts and Prayers."
The rest of us will send money and time.
We're fine here. No damage at VSL or the homestead. Surgery healing on pace. Last stretch of recovery this week.

Sad, sad news. Even people that stubbornly negate evidence of causes, should accept the fact that things are changing, and we should be prepared. Spain lived a too similar event last year.
hi Kirk, sorry to hear about the need for surgery, but glad to hear you got some :)
All good here re: the surgery. Recovering quickly. Super professional medical folks. Stitches out on Thursday.
