And here is a version of Rebecca based on exactly how I would retouch the file. It's a different frame. But from the same shoot.

Interesting. I was reading about the upgrades earlier, thanks for the samples. I'm in the middle of a project now and don't want to upgrade Lightroom until it's finished, but hope to try the new goodies later tonight.

Adobe certainly has made great strides in its recent Lightroom Classic features. The masking routines do a far better job with one click, in many cases, than I can achieve with great effort using the older, conventional (for lack of a better word) selection tools in Photoshop.

The one-click portrait examples don’t work nearly as well. Adobe’s 17 layer portrait looks a bit like a forensic reconstruction.
The waxen look of skin and facial features appear to have been adorned with a leftover set of Groucho Marx eyebrows. Okay, that’s an overstatement. But the difference between Adobe’s result and yours is pretty significant.

OK - So I already commented in the previous post about this, but I have to say that Michael has hit the nail on the head. Groucho Marx eyebrows is exactly what comes to mind.

Your edit is way better.
