It's getting hot here in Austin and now I'm nostalgic for the low 90's that we had during Eeyore's birthday party a few months ago. This was done with the Zeiss 50mm 1.4 and the Canon 1Dmk2n. What a wonderful combination.

  1. We can talk about camera body attributes and abilities till the cows come home, but at the end of the day, it's always gonna be the glass that really makes the difference. Always.

Sensors are just now starting to catch up with really, really good glass. Give it another 5 years, and we are gonna be in a wonderland of imaging capabilities. Maybe, if we're really lucky, then the difference will be what it has always really been, what separates the men from the boys, what makes the professional stand out, what emerges as the master.

The person behind the camera, who can deliver consistently, on time and on budget. All while providing a glimpse into a slice of time, frozen in a magical moment.
