Way OT: The path of totality for the eclipse has shifted a bit. We are now a few miles deeper toward the center of the path.

Anybody need to Air BNB my back yard? I can let space go for $5,000 per tent, per night. A bargain if you just have to see the eclipse for about four minutes. I think I have space for maybe a dozen tents....

We'll have sparklers too.

Cash. We only take cash...

currently busy trying to copyright the eclipse from our unique point of view...

I'm surprised that state legislatures haven't tried to ban eclipses for some reason or other. Wasn't there a state that tried to redefine the value of 𝛑 ("pi") once?

Oh my God! You have to remove the case to get at the battery? Shame!

Robert said, "Wasn't there a state that tried to redefine the value of 𝛑 ("pi") once?" Supposedly it was Oklahoma. I think the legislator wanted to round it off, but not completely change it. It created a joke about the Oklahoma kid, the first in his family to go off to college. When he returned home for a visit, his grandfather asked what he'd learned, and he answered, "Pi R Squared." His grandfather said, "Nope. Pie are round, cornbread are square."

By the way, there's a tee-shirt going around that says, "OKLAHOMA"...and below that in smaller letters "It's not that bad"

I think the good thing about Leicas is that instead of putting Vaseline on your lenses to get soft-focus, you just use your regular focusing techniques.

JC, I can feel the snark. But admit it. You secretly have an SL3 and a bag full of lenses pre-ordered. right?

Sign me up for a tent on Saturday and Sunday night if I can also get full day Saturday workshop from Kirk Tuck on "How to Shoot the Eclipse with Sony Cameras".
