Ray Anderson. My favorite magician. Sawing beautiful people in half for decades at Esther's Follies, a comedy (and magic) club on East Sixth St. Here in Austin.

shot on location in 2003 on a Fujifilm SPro2. Hmmmmm. Nice color for an ancient camera...

Not an X-Pro2 but an SPro2. Six whole megapixels of dynamic fury.

So, I should explain why we went dark for a couple hours yesterday....Too much success.

I took the blog private for a few hours yesterday to try to figure out why our page view numbers here are spiking. I haven't gotten any more brilliant and probably even less funny but we jumped from a daily average of about 3500 to 4000 page views to over 10,000 from Monday to Tuesday. It seems fishy to me and I'm not able to find a non-anonymous referrer who may have posted some link from here on a popular site somewhere. I thought that I might be able to stymie the rampant success by "turning off the faucet."

I turned the site back on last night, before calling it for the night, and here we are at 9:00 a.m. approaching 5500 page views. Kinda crazy. If any of you more computer savvy people out there have some idea of how to figure this out please feel free to let me know, otherwise I'll just chalk it up to a huge new number of people just discovering my light-hearted genius about photography for the very first time.

But head's up. Don't click on any offers you might get from VSL ---- we aren't making any!!!

People out there are making a career out of being bad actors. Let's not give them any opportunity to practice on us. Stay sharp.
