Reading around the web today. New and unusual revelations.

I have learned that routine maintenance of appliances is necessary and can cost money.

I have learned that one should carefully read "sale" labels in grocery stores in order to acquire the actual, specific product being offered at a discount.

I learned that even old people should RTFM.

I also remember being told that it doesn't look cool to yell at the neighborhood children to "Keep off my grass/yard"

Who knew?

Next I'll probably be educated that my car needs to have its oil changed from time to time and, HORRORs, the nasty, nasty dealer will want to charge me money for this service. I will disagree about the value of this service. The dealer thinks it has higher value while I assign it a lower value. Mostly, I just want to pay less. Because...  It all seems like a scam.  Back in the day you could get a Coke for a nickel.

Don't even get me started on recurring subscriptions !!!

Please send me free money.
