Just got my shooting itinerary and travel reservations from my infrastructure client. I'll be traveling the first three days of next week; pretty much non-stop. Yikes.

I'll be in Charlotte, NC. Raleigh-Durham, NC. Southern Virginia. And Evanston, Indiana. Then back home through Dallas. Two hotel nights, three rental cars and a couple thousand miles. Seems an odd way to make a living....

I'm starting to turn down work in December. I'm planning on enjoying a lazy holiday season of dinners with friends and family and lots and lots of swimming. Oh, and some photography just for myself...

Thankfully, I am here all week long for Thanksgiving!

So just another day in the life ... It's what we do, right? Discussing this with other shooters recently, we all agreed that we do pretty good work when we're running hard. Maybe it's being in the zone. Maybe it's being tired so your brain strips away any superfluous stuff and just wants to get to the heart of things. (Then, we go nuts when there is that random stretch where no work comes in.)

Anyway, Coopers BBQ in Raleigh is pretty good. Enjoyed it there the day before a shoot. But, a guy who lives in Northern NY suggesting NC BBQ to a Texan ... I might be way out of my lane. Maybe I should just stick to discussing lines/mm and other critical photographic stuff.

Glad to see you are enforcing a healthy work/life balance.

Take care,
