Oh. Nothing big. Just my short fused temper. I wrote something that could be interpreted as a slight towards another blogge'rs choice to butcher a camera to meet his "vision" and a commenter took umbrage and commented with a remark I didn't like. So I gutted anything that could be even remotely controversial from that blog post and a following one. Mostly to make the point that boring lack of content sucks for everyone. I think I stated many years ago that one of my rules was:
"Don't tell me how to write my blog."
The commenter may have been right and if he'd conversed with me off-line I might have just edited my post but my biggest failure is my quick temper and impulsive decision making (how else to explain my camera buying habits?).
Everything will return to normal in short order. I guess, to please my audience, I just have to be "nice" all the time....

Thanks for the blog. Like people have said and are saying: be true to what you are. That's why I'm here
On the other hand... Cosina is the licensee of the Voigtrlander brand, and they are the only ones who manufacture Voigtlander lenses at this time, and since the 90's. Cosina produces, and often designs lenses for other brands. They've done that for a long time, and very successfully. Kyocera has never produced lenses for them, and certainly not the Voigtlander lenses. The Voigtlander lenses started as a pet project of Kobayashi-san (owner and CEO of Cosina) when he was a fan of screw mount Leicas and couldn't find some of the lenses he wanted, in part because they were never produced. These included the 15/4.5 Helier and the 25/4 Snap shot Skopar, the first Voigtlander lenses he designed and produced. Voigtlander is still a pet project and puts out items he and his design team would like to see and use. Initially production, marketing and sales of these items was unimportant as they represented such a very tiny part of his total company. Cosina is, after all, one of the largest optical companies in Japan, only very few items are available under their own brand.

..which also sucks.
OK, I see now. Unfortunately some people are a little too sensitive. Hang in there.
