At the behest of one of his regular readers Mike has set up a GoFundMe site to help with all the work that will need to get done to ressurrect his blog. Seems like a great idea!

I have no connection to the fundraiser or the TOP blog other than that I consider Mike to be a long time friend and a great writer. I wish him continued success and a quick restart to his world famous blog.

I would also have donated, but it was already over by the time I got there. Well done to those who helped out.
Also saw that that GoFundMe was closed, after raising a little bit over $8,000. It was heartening to see bunches of people were donating over $100.

And to, Mike, our dear friend, keep on hanging in there! Absolutely thrilled to see the GoFundMe success, though quite disappointed I didn't discover it until it was closed. Don't forget frequent visits to the pool shed, your meetings, taking walks, and snapping the occasional picture or two (or possibly even three! ;-) I'm quite certain that a good number of your regular readers follow you on Flickr, too.

I missed the GoFundMe window ... oops. I think I first discovered VSL at TOP, a guest post over there long ago IIRC.
