I know one of our readers is tired of South Congress Ave. but during daylight hours, on a Saturday afternoon, the area is hopping with vendors, tourists, Austinites, Typewriter Rodeo people and more tourists. Not so all over Austin where people are mostly in their cars.
It was a balmy, sleepy day yesterday and I swam hard in the morning. I made the mistake, right after lunch, of collapsing onto the couch in the living room to take a quick nap. But I slept too long and woke up groggy and slow moving. I really didn't have the time/energy/desire to spend time exploring a new destination so I defaulted to a visually rich area in order to take a walk and, as I am wont to do, snap a few pictures with a new lens.
Sorry disgruntled reader!
These are the frames I liked in the moment.
