I hadn't heard of Kurt Markus before, so thanks for that! There's a two part interview with him on that website that was also a good read.

I love this picture Kirk. Somehow, it is both beautiful and melancholic - maybe its my age, but looking at this I see how fleeting youth is. And thanks for the link to the interview - some interesting insights there.

The most important piece of photo gear you own, resides between your ears. Actor Kevyn Major Howard (Rasterman in Full Metal Jacket) shoots Head Shots for actors. These are a very specific kind of portrait, that are shown to Movie Casting Directors. Thanks, Kirk. I was so intrigued I went to Kurt's site- very interesting approach, great portraits. A real photo fan boy--he named his son Weston.
