George, Blogger didn't mess up. I wrote something when I was angry and decided to try to do that "positive thinking" thing that's supposed to work so well. I took it down.
Will be interested to see your take...whether there's anything to the RX10 III, with the new lens and all, that should merit one to be a convert to the 1" bridge world. Just returned from watching sandhill cranes in Nebraska, and such a camera might have been just the ticket.
One fellow with a 50 meg Canon and I think 800mm lens, on the observation bridge, related two things: first, that it wasn't the best choice when cranes flew right overhead, and that his rig had caused his divorce. Probably apocryphal, his wife wanted to spend the money for new bedroom furniture, he wanted the lens. He said I can make money with this lens; she said she could make money with the bed.
