Another quick Zeiss 24-70mm f4.0 ZA gallery from the walk today. Still keeping my eyes on those corners. Just waiting for the softness to erupt and then....

Maybe you have to really WANT to see those soft corners?

Make wall size prints, perhaps soft corners will show
their (soft) faces. Maybe. Look very close. Like
12 inches from a wall size print. See, there they are!

Thanks for this - I have just purchased an A7rii and I'm currently trying to decide between this lens or to go down the A mount route with the LEA3 adapter and put up with the weight gain
You happy with this lens?

There really isn't much wrong with the 24-70/4 ZA performance wise. However, it has a Zeiss badge and a relatively high price tag. I guess, many people therefore expect a lens that will noticeably outperform the alternatives.

I do have some sympathy for that view because I beleive my adapted Canon 24-70L f/4 is arguably slightly better and comes in around 15-20% cheaper in here the UK.
