All the images in this gallery were taken for Zach Theatre for their current production of
We used two Panasonic GH5 cameras and two Olympus Pro series zoom lenses; the 12-100mm f4.0 and the 40-150mm f2.8. All images were shot at either ISO 800 or ISO 1600 and both
lenses were used at their widest apertures.
Shutter speeds ranged from 1/30th to 1/500th of a second.
The camera was set manually and color balance set for the basic stage wash before the start of the show. Post processed in Adobe Lightroom and delivered online via Smugmug.com.

New Zach photos. Excellent. I find it amazing that the pictures are as clean as they are at 3200. Confession: I right click, new tab, embiggen, then look for noise. There is some noise, but it's not obtrusive. The settings you wrote about in your magisterial review of the GH5 really work.

Question -- do you prefer the micro 4/3 native aspect ratio of 4:3 or the native 3:2 of most other cameras (Sony, Nikon, Canon....)? I know that anything can be cropped. It's a question I have been meaning to ask for some time. Maybe it's also a question of framing or how you "see" when you are working.
And back to the photos... These are outstanding! Lovely rendering, colours and framing.

And this is why I moved to mirrorless m4/3 a few years ago and haven't yet regretted it once!
Not with Pana gear, Olympus only so far. But it never ceases to amaze me as to what can be done with these cameras. Sooooo tempted to peek at a GH5... ;)
Amazing photos. I recently went on a cruise to NZ and the nightly variety show posed some amazing lighting problems. Which the Oly EM5 solved without the slightest problem!
Great shots Kirk, and hopefully a successful test of the Camera ability at what used to be considered "high" ISOs :)
