A few more bizarre shots from the Pentax K-1.

Outside a shop on a street in the Old Town area of Montreal.

Early morning in our suite at the L Hotel in Old Town Montreal.
Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting.
Get a suite. Roomy, quiet and comfortable.

I understand that in our present era, many if not most find modern cameras can create RAW digital negatives which can be tweaked and altered and massaged to create a particular look or feel. It's the curse and blessing of our modern digital darkrooms, of Lightroom and Capture One, that allow us to work minor miracles. BUT...that said...there is something special about the light and texture of these K-1 photographs which I can't quite put my finger on. But they have a richness and subtlety to them which is....for want of a better term, particularly Pentax.

I think the K-1 does it best of all the current Pentax line-up - but, and this is just my wayward non-scientific personal opinion, it's a quality shared by a handful of Pentax's finer digital photography machines over the years. They know how to make cameras which seem to fit organically into many photographers' hands - and their engineers somehow seem to know how to do invisible miracles to make their images......richer.

But regardless of why or how, these are simply great photographs.

Just wondering ... idle curiosity ... do you still own the K-1?
