The S1H handles the color red very, very well. Maybe the lens has something to do with that as well.

    If I remember correctly, Kodachrome 64 transparency film handled reds very, very well also. I seem to recall that small red objects looked almost 3-D, especially when just looking at the slide without projecting it.
