Were you traumatized by a mannequin as a child?

Alex. Yes! No. Not really.

But I do consider some mannequins to be an art form; much like Greek Statues of Athena, Io, etc. And I also value really good window design. I remember being in NYC and just stopping in my tracks when I came across a series of beautifully designed windows at Barneys. Once a great clothing store in Manhattan.

Industrial and advertising art is often overlooked but I think it has real value.

And mannequins don't move fast so focusing is easier....

I have a Styrofoam head I bought at Blick for a few bucks, and use it work out lighting set-ups. It never complains about the unconscionable hours.
