I like the Leica Q2 but I'm still searching to find those "horrible" Jpeg colors all the early reviewers went on and on about..

I added some vignetting in post. Otherwise the files would have been too perfect....

The message here is......coffee.

I'm getting settled with this camera in record time.
I am amazed at how quick it is to work with and how
wonderful the files look. It just works.

The colors in those jpgs look fine to me. What I'd really like, Kirk, is a short image quality comparison between the Q2 and the CL. Sure, full frame will best APS-C. But how much are we talking about between the two Leicas? I'm talking real-world color, noise, dynamic range - as seen by the naked eye.

The Q2 is a beautiful camera. I'd love to have one but I have mixed feelings about the 28mm field of view. At times I enjoy it. Other times I want nothing to do with it. Too much money to spend on a camera that would mostly sit on my shelf. I'm sure it's a joy to use though. If they made one with a 50mm f2 I think they get my money. I'd take a 40mm f2 also, that's a fov that I have come to really enjoy.

CRSantin, I'd be right there with you if they made a 40mm or 50mm version. My dream camera!

Based on Leica pricing, this looks like a free camera attached to a 28mm lens. Have you tried the Sony RX1R II - 42mp and a 35mm lens, which is closer to your ideal. DXO rates them close, with an edge to the Sony.

those do look good, q2's come up used here quite often at maybe 30% off new price, I expect the firmware has had some tweaks over the years

Agreed that the colours are perfectly fine from what I can see (limitations of browser, monitor, colour gamut, etc. can really mess up comparisons). And...

(ellipsis added because I know ho much you love them)

I love the first image. Just the kind of street shot I try to get. The girl hunched over her cell phone is perfectly framed in the gap and the atmosphere is portrayed hauntingly.

My hat is off to the Master.

It's really not fair. I've been reading the blog forever and every time you pick up a new camera the resulting images are top notch. I could pick up the same Leica and not come close. It's almost like you are taunting us.

The camera just earned top pick in Chris and Jordan’s best cameras for street photography, in the “Money’s No Object” category.
