Do you experiment? Do you take chances with silly gear just to see what might result? Here's an image done with a Lens Baby. I may never use one again but at least I know what it does now.

I rented a Lens Baby once to "see what it did". The effect is interesting but my aging vision depends too much on auto-focus these days. I found it difficult to position the sweet spot and get it in focus. I ended up with an inordinate number of throwaway images and didn't feel it was worth buying it for the limited amount that I would use it.

The wonderful thing about being a Powerful and all-knowing blogger is that sometimes manufacturers send along wildly expensive treasures for me to pass judgement upon. As was the case with the LensBaby. I shot it for a day or two and then sent it back. I figured they needed it more than I....
