Interesting results with black and white files from the Sigma fp; along with some dynamic range enhancement by the Sigma's "fill light" setting in the shooting menu.

We're heading into the holidays. Is it any wonder people's thoughts are rushing to black and white photography?

Hi Kirk - My Black & White hunger is very well satisfied by my Fuji X100V set to one of the various B&W modes, same for the aspect ratio. Of corse, when I want color I have it...(ellipses intended)

I started out with black & white 45 years ago as a photojournalist. Moved to color for personal work a decade or two later, and haven’t been much interested in b&w since. But seeing what you and that fp are doing...I don’t know - I really don’t want to get another camera, and hoped when you took your break I could forget about the fp (since few others talk about it). Now you’re showing it has the same qualities in b&w as it does in color...
