This is SUCH a cool photo. And the beard... the beard! Dude, you looked sharp in a beard. I also like the non-intentional sentence fragment behind you - about voting not for the Republicans of 1978... but for a Publican! i.e. one who runs a Pub. And there's something in the twisted grin the bearded photographer is sporting which suggests that, once the assignment is finished, he's heading for his local pub.
Hi Kirk, you may not like TTL flash, but it was a huge leap forward for macro photography, especially once you got beyond 1:1. Prior to the OM2 with TTL flash I used a cardboard calculator, which I found in a British photography magazine probably around 50 years ago. I still have the calculator which I'd printed out on photo paper (more durable than card) but I no longer have the original article. If it was possible I could attach a scan of it. The calculator was brilliant and a credit to the genius who devised it, and it worked every time. As I was using slide film, often Kodachrome, I needed something reliable as the subjects (mostly tiny animals) weren't around for a re-shoot and slide film didn't have much latitude.
